TLESLA II, DR. EVAN ADAMS - ROGER ELDON
Evan Tlesla II Adams is a multi-award winning Coast Salish actor & physician from the Tla’amin First Nation. This actor/playwright/producer turned-physician is best known for his role as Thomas Builds-The-Fire in the film Smoke Signals (1988) as well as his early career on stage. Evan continues to work in film and TV today. (1491, Indian Horse, Kayak to Klemtu) In addition to his impressive acting career, he is an accomplished medical doctor and was the Chief Medical Officer with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) until May 2020 when he was called to the role of Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Public Health.

JOEL BENSON

JOEL BENSON - JEFF
Physical Theatre Artist, Singer, Writer and Composer. Joel is a settler on Tla'amin traditional territory, in qathet Regional District. Joel formerly resided in Toronto for 16 years. He performed and created with Mirvish Productions, Seventh Stage, Parahumans Dance Theatre, Canadia dell'Arte, Lost Carnival, Summerworks, Stage West, and Native Earth Productions. He has been a core member of Theatre Gargantua having co-created and performed multiple incarnations and workshop performances of 6 creation cycles. Across Turtle Island, he's played with Repercussion and Youtheatre (Montreal), Shakespeare by the Sea (Halifax), Theatre Network and Fringe (Edmonton), PrimeStock and Centre Stage (Red Deer), and Stuck in a Snowbank (Yellowknife). He's supported and contributed to MINE since meeting Zoë 13 years ago and is filled with gratitude to all who have assisted along the way. Thanks and congratulations, Zoë!

MARIELLE BENSON

MARIELLE BENSON - REPORTER
Marielle works for Inclusion Powell River in Human resources. She has lived between Powell River and the Lower Mainland for the past 20 years, and enjoys a somewhat nomadic lifestyle.  A lover of literature, music, and art, she feels blessed to have participated in helping a fellow writer, Zoe, bring her vision to the public.  It has been an amazing experience to work with all the cast-- and especially the creator—of Mine.
ANDREA LAYNE BLACK
ANDREA LAYNE BLACK - PAULA LINEZ
Andrea Layne Black acted and crewed in many theatre productions at the University of Lethbridge in the '80s, then moved to Vancouver where she studied acting for many years, performed in four Vancouver Fringe Festival plays, did performance storytelling, stand-up comedy, and dabbled in film and TV.  Relocating to Powell River, she has been writing and performing slam poetry winning six slams, writing short stories, one-act plays, and trying to finish three novels.  Andrea is also a full-time court transcriber specializing in rulings and judgments from the Supreme and Provincial Courts of British Columbia.  She likes gardening, reading, and hiking with her dog, Pinky. Her novella 'Dear F.I.N' will be published January 2023.

Meghan Hildebrand
Meghan Hildebrand - NANCY THE NEWS ANCHOR
Meghan is a qathet Region based visual artist, also experimenting in music and sound as a member of The Slim Milkie Band and  formerly The Abbie Hoffman Society and the Powell River Women’s Punk Rock Choir. 
Originally from Whitehorse Yukon, Meghan’s mother was an artist and her father a miner, who was fortunate to survive an underground mine disaster in 1992. 
JANET NEWBURY
JANET NEWBURY - REPORTER, MRS. RITER
Janet is a researcher working in qathet Region and previously instructor in the School of Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria. She is involved in a range of other research and community-based projects that focus on social justice, decolonization, and wellness for children, youth, and families.  Originally from Newfoundland, she is very grateful to now be living in the beautiful traditional territory of the Tla'amin people.
LORI NANCY KALAMANSKI
LORI NANCY KALAMANSKI - BRENDA
Lori Nancy is an award-winning actor, musician and educator who has worked internationally on stage, voice-over, film & TV. Most recently she was in the Toronto cast of the hit musical Come From Away (Mirvish). She especially enjoys shows like this one where she interacts with audiences providing immersive experiences. Favourites include: The Gladstone Variations (Convergence Theatre), Hogtown (Historic Campbell House) & the European tour of Dance Marathon (bluemouth inc). She also teaches ukulele with Doane USchool and is a proud member of the popular folk-rock band for kids Sing Along Tim & The Pacifiers.​​​​​​​

ZOË LUDSKI

ZOË LUDSKI - MADELINE CIBARRO, WRITER, EDITOR
Zoë is a transmedia artist living in TLaAmin Nation Territory. She is the co-founder of Taxumajehjeh and Jehjeh Media with long time collaborator Koosen Pielle. She is an advocate for community media and equity within media and arts. She hosts and produces the long running radio show 42 Fish on CJMP90.1FM.

Shawn Postoff is a trans-media artist who combines fine art, still image, film & video, text, and theatrical clown into an online world of personal exploration. This ongoing Webspinning practice aims to construct a metaphorical architecture of self-expression and self-knowledge, with a bit of random silliness thrown in for good measure. Having followed the evolution of “Mine” for many years now, Shawn is grateful and excited to be a part of this latest offering from Zoe’s brain.

Jack Saunders is a retired teacher who enjoys living & playing in Powell River, BC. Born in Saskatoon, Sask. to a family of 6, Jack holds a BA from Western State College, Colorado, majoring in Physical Education, with a minor in English. Jack taught in Colorado, Texas, US Virgin Islands, BC, S Korea, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait. His hobbies include kayaking, fishing, acoustic guitar, watercolour painting, writing children's books, and reading.
